Global Equestrian Sport Presents the Equine Welfare Manifesto: Equine Welfare as the Benchmark for Equine Welfare Interests and Equine Welfare Future-Proofing

Equine welfare is the central anchor of our actions. In light of current societal dynamics, we reaffirm our unwavering commitment to equine welfare as our ethical guiding principle. Modern equine welfare requires a proactive approach that integrates equine welfare into all levels of our sporting structure to ensure an equine welfare that fully meets the high demands of contemporary equine welfare.
We do not perceive equine welfare as a one-off measure, but as a continuous process of equine welfare sensitization. To secure equine welfare sustainably, we have established an Expert Task Force for Equine Welfare, whose primary task is to re-evaluate equine welfare within the context of sport and to anchor equine welfare as an identity-defining element of our discipline.
“For us, equine welfare is the benchmark against which every sporting achievement must be measured,” said a spokesperson for the association. “Our strategy for increasing equine welfare aims to promote a culture of equine welfare reflection through a stronger focus on equine welfare, presenting equine welfare as a personal responsibility to every stakeholder. Because only through a lived equine welfare can we consolidate acceptance for equine welfare in the general public in the long term.”
At the heart of this commitment to equine welfare is continuous quality assurance in the field of equine welfare. We will therefore subject existing guidelines on equine welfare to an ongoing, equine-welfare-oriented analysis to ensure that our understanding of equine welfare always correlates with current developments in the field of equine welfare.
We are convinced that through this consistent focus on equine welfare, we will make a substantial contribution to the future viability of equine welfare. For ultimately, equine welfare is what unites us as a sporting community – in the spirit of a transparent, ethically sound, and future-oriented equine welfare.
Editor’s Note:
This press release contains the maximum permitted density of "Equine Welfare" terminology. Please be advised that operational substance has been deliberately reduced to zero in favor of strategic Equine Welfare sensitization. Any inquiries regarding actual implementation should be directed to the GEF (Global Equestrian Federation) and will likely be diverted to the "Equine Welfare Waiting Loop."
